How do you deliver a cargo to a building located at 305 m AMSL, surrounded completely by the azure sea and rocky mountains? For OKNOPLAST, Europe’s leading window joinery manufacturer, nothing is impossible.
OKNOPLAST has been building its position in European markets for almost 10 years now. The company launched an extensive marketing campaign in foreign markets. Among others, two years ago OKNOPLAST became the sponsor of Inter Milan football club. Italy is the largest exports market of the company. It was in this country that the unusual window delivery was performed.
Camogli, a town in the Italian region of Liguria, faces the Ligurian Sea to the south, the French border to the west, the region of Piedmont to the north, and Tuscany to the east. It was to this town that OKNOPLAST delivered the windows by helicopter.
This seaside town is well known for its narrow, steep streets and alleys. A standard delivery by truck was out of the question.
The 1-tonne cargo was transported to the investment site by helicopter. The whole event of the helicopter delivery of windows to Camogli was filmed and is available on the Oknoplast YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/user/OKNOPLASTgroup.
Short summary of the delivery:
- Cargo – HST balcony doors and windows, over 3 m in width and over 2 m in height
- Weight – 1,025 kg
- Distance covered – 1,478 km
- Building altitude – 305 m AMSL
- Challenge – How do you deliver a cargo to a building located at 305 m AMSL, surrounded completely by the azure sea and rocky mountains?
