On 10 October 2024, the OKNOPLAST Group inaugurated a two‑year patronage of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK). The decision reflects the Group’s values: as a trend‑setting manufacturer, design and creativity lie at the heart of its identity.

The partnership was launched on 10 October at MOCAK’s headquarters during the Group’s annual international conference, “Hello OKNOPLAST #3.” As the Museum’s Patron, OKNOPLAST will support MOCAK’s cultural and educational activities over the coming years. The collaboration will include special exhibitions and an international competition for artists, set to open on 1 November.

“We are proud that OKNOPLAST can become a patron of such an exceptional and important place as MOCAK,” said Magdalena Cedro, Marketing Director of the OKNOPLAST Group. “Two factors unite us: first, our shared location—our brand hails from the Kraków area, a city of artists and the cradle of Polish art. Second, our focus on design: attention to unique aesthetics and sensitivity to the latest trends are fundamental in creating our windows. We see great potential for free and creative artistic expression within the world of OKNOPLAST, which is why we warmly invite creators to the joint competition. I am certain our cooperation with the Museum will foster its further development, enrich global art and reinforce best‑practice models of collaboration between culture and business.”

Operating since 2011 in the former Schindler Factory halls, MOCAK aims to advance contemporary culture and art, provide education and build a collection. It presents works by artists from around the globe and includes in its permanent holdings pieces by Tomasz Bajer, Edward Dwurnik, Krištof Kintera, Maria Stangret and Krzysztof Wodiczko, among others.

“Art is best served by patronage underpinned by a shared symbol. A work of art is a window onto a world we cannot perceive on our own. MOCAK and OKNOPLAST therefore have a natural meeting ground on which we will build much together,” remarked Maria Anna Potocka, Director of MOCAK.

It is worth noting that OKNOPLAST has long promoted art as part of the Group’s social‑responsibility mission. Over its 27‑year history, the company has repeatedly supported cultural initiatives—for example, several years of patronage for the Jasiński & Friends art‑exhibition series; sponsorship of the Young Architects’ Competition; partnership in the Young Design competition for emerging designers; and partnership in the European BEST Engineering Competition, an international event aimed at identifying young engineering talents.
