At the UN Day gala, OKNOPLAST received the United Business for Ukraine award—an expression of appreciation for the consistent assistance the company has provided to Ukraine since the first days of Russian aggression.
The United Nations Day gala is a gathering of UN Global Compact members and partners of the UN Global Compact Network Poland, of which OKNOPLAST is one. The event offers an excellent moment to review and thank participants for their cooperation so far and to discuss plans for the future.
The gala took place on 24 October, the date on which the United Nations was officially established in 1945. For years, meetings, exhibitions and debates commemorating the organisation’s achievements have been held worldwide on this day to inspire public institutions and private entities to work for the preservation of peace.

The citation reads: “As a token of recognition and gratitude for the aid provided to the citizens of Ukraine and for showing that business is a pillar of humanitarian assistance.”
From the very first days of the war, OKNOPLAST has supported its Ukrainian employees and their families, providing both material and psychological help. The company has assisted with transport, housing and integration into the Polish labour market. In addition, in cooperation with the Doctors for Doctors Foundation, OKNOPLAST funded an ambulance, and—together with the UN Global Compact—organised the delivery of power generators to Bucha.
